Cornhole Tournament!
Fundraisers help the Association provide continuing education opportunities, publications, research and technical assistance to its members. The Indiana County Surveyors Association hosted a three hour technical presentation for continuing education credits. The event was held on July 19th, 2012 at the Hancock County Fairgrounds in Greenfield. Gary Kent presented “Successful Section Corner Perpetuation.” Following the presentation the Indiana County Surveyors Association hosted a cornhole tournament fundraiser. A total of $2,300.00 was raised and Patrick Manship and Jason Coyle walked away as the Cornhole Champions!

September 23-26, 2013 - Association of Indiana Counties Annual Conference
The AIC Annual Conference provides AIC members an opportunity to attend educational workshops, view an exhibit hall of over one hundred booths and meet and build relationships with over 500 county elected officials and county employees from throughout the state of Indiana. The conference this year took place in Switzerland County, at the Belterra Resort.

2015 Continuing Education Seminar
The 2015 summer education seminar was another successful event. The seminar covered Reconstruction of Regulated Drains and How to Finance Them. The panel consisted of:
- Zach Beasley - Tippecanoe County Surveyor
- Jarrod Hahn – Wells County Surveyor
- Chris Knochel – Newton County Surveyor
- Tom Cummins – Montgomery County Surveyor
- Susan Bodkin – Hancock County Surveyor.
The panel discussed what constitute a reconstruction and the many ways to finance them including grants, bank loans, and general drain funds. In addition, Jim Love from Beck’s Hybrids gave a presentation on drones and then gave a demonstration. The live demonstration of flying the drones was very interesting, to say the least.
There were 34 people that attended the meeting and 6 corporate sponsors. The Association would like to thank Julie Umbaugh and Meg Butcher with Christopher B. Burke Engineering for helping organize the event.
Once again there will be a 2016 Continuing Education and Fundraising Seminar. All surveyors are welcome to attend and will receive 3 credit hours of continuing education. Details of the event will be available in the near future.
