Michael P. Sheehan served as the Vigo County Surveyor from 1998 until his death on August 11, 2012. Michael P. Sheehan revitalized the Stone Perpetuation Program, and through his leadership, nearly 200 corners have been perpetuated in recent years. In 2004, Michael P. Sheehan implemented the Access Cover Project to help maintain section corners in roads. He had been an active associate member of the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors since 1999. Michael P. Sheehan had also been an involved member in the County Land Surveyors Association of Indiana since 1998 along with being with the National Association of County Land Surveyors since 2002.
Michael P. Sheehan was ardent in the profession of Land Surveying having over 30 years of experience in Surveying and strove to provide an office that was committed to facilitating the needs of the citizens of the county along with the professionals that work in Vigo County. Michael P. Sheehan was an active member in the community, volunteering with many service organizations along with being an active member in his church community.
